Todd Kelly es, ante todo, un hijo de Dios. Es un devoto esposo de su esposa, Robbye, y padre de cuatro hijos increíbles, Joshua, Meghan, Matthew y Selby. Cocina un lote grande de cangrejo de rio al año y se ha convertido en un experto en ahumar carne. Profesionalmente, Todd está certificado por la Junta en Derecho de Juicio por Lesiones Personales por la Texas Board of Legal Specialization y es un “AV” calificado por Martindale-Hubbell. Todd tiene licencia en Texas, Oklahoma, Virginia y Pennsylvania. Creció en Arlington, Texas, y recibió su Licenciatura de la University of Texas en 1987, mientras asistía a una beca ROTC. En 2006, Todd abrió su propio bufete de abogados en Houston, Texas, donde obtuvo reconocimiento por su representación de una víctima de agresión sexual por parte de un contratista militar en el extranjero.
Todd ha aparecido en 20/20, The Rachel Maddow Show, y ha sido entrevistado sobre temas legales por numerosos programas de noticias nacionales y locales, incluida la edición Insider de CBS. En 2009, Todd apareció frente a los comités del Congreso de los Estados Unidos hablando sobre la Ley de Equidad en el Arbitraje, en un esfuerzo por eliminar las disposiciones de arbitraje obligatorias, vinculantes y previas a la disputa que se encuentran en productos de consumo y otros contratos. En 2013, Todd fue incluido en el Texas Lawyer Hall of Fame luego de un veredicto de $16,900,000 en nombre de una mujer con discapacidad mental que fue violada por un cuidador. Fue nombrado Texas Super Lawyer en 2011, 2012 y todos los años desde 2014.
